Current England Player of the Year and World Cup Winner
When I look back, you start to realise just how important the people around you were on the journey to becoming a pro. I'm not even sure they thought I'd go on to win a World Cup and Ashes! I want to help other cricketers with the support I had. Levellr allows me to harness what I've learnt and inspire cricketers everywhere - whatever your personal ambitions may be.
A bit about me: I feel honoured to have played professional cricket for England for so many years, and to have been part of so much success in that time. Ever since my ODI and Test debuts (the latter in the Ashes of all Tests!), I have worked hard to forge a career as so called, 'Mr Dependable'.
Some pretty crazy moments along the way, including that 137* knock against India, reaching 500 first class wickets and receiving the award for PCA Cricketer of the Year 2020. But let's be honest, nothing tops the moments you win as a team, and I think there is one that stands out...the summer of 2019! No doubt the most dramatic and emotional summer of my 14 years as a pro. I will certainly never forget the atmosphere at Lord’s on World Cup final day and the pride of delivering for my country on the biggest stage with my team mates.
Cricket has taken me all over the world, to the IPL and Big Bash, and I’m deeply grateful for that. The future is bright, and with hard work I plan on getting plenty more wickets and runs under my belt!
