I have covered some incredible events in my career, but there's no doubt that it’s a difficult profession to find your way into. Levellr will give me the opportunity to reach out to young people seeking help or advice in their broadcasting careers and hopefully I can provide some inspiration to push them in the right direction.
A bit about me: Growing up in the Midlands and soon working for my local BBC radio station, I would never have imagined where a career in broadcasting would take me.
My life in sports broadcasting so far has been a privilege and I am incredibly grateful to have worked on some extraordinary events, covering the very top of professional cricket and football. It has been a wonderful journey from Football Focus way back when in 2004. Since then I've had the privilege to work on the Ashes, Cricket World Cups, ICC World Twenty20, the Africa Cup of Nations, the FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championship, The Football League and Premier League! Talking about sport doesn't get boring, that's for sure.
I've been fortunate enough to find myself in positions like the Match of the Day chair (definitely a childhood dream), and I hope I can help anyone finding their way in sports media achieve their dream too.
