Former England Cricketer, now TV & Radio Personality
The last few months have been difficult for everyone and as we enter into another lockdown, I'm here to try and bring some joy and share a few laughs! I feel pretty damn lucky to have met so many amazing fans over the years, and Levellr gives me a chance to continue doing that, even though we can't currently meet face to face.
A bit about me: Many younger cricket fans only know me as a commentator (or quizzer), but I wasn't all that bad youngsters! As a professional cricketer, it was an absolute honour to play for Middlesex and England through the 90s and early 00s – I wasn’t too shabby with the ball (over 1000 wickets) and had some fun in the field (although some have questioned my batting prowess…can’t think why!).
The jump into TV and the years since have been amazing. It all kicked off by eating a few witchetty grubs down under on I’m a Celeb – King of the Jungle I may add! – and then I danced my way through Strictly and have loved every minute of being team captain on A Question of Sport. I truly am a lucky man to have done so much, and I’m looking forward to many more memorable moments to come!
I spend much of my time raising awareness for charitable causes. As President of the Change Foundation I am doing all I can for an incredible cause that uses sport to change the lives of marginalised young people.
